Hello! My name is Shalae Tippetts. Right now I am enjoying raising my family of 6 children along with my engineering husband. We recently bought an older house on close to an acre of land that we are currently fixing up and getting ready to build a new home as a family. I have been homeschooling my children for about 9 years and am still going with my younger children.
Recently I have felt the need to start blogging again the things that are often on my heart and mind. This blog is where I will be sharing my faith, thoughts, my family history stories, and my current artwork.
I am always working at building my illustration/design portfolio with new work. If there is anything you like, feel free to contact me at:

You can also find me at Instagram, Facebook and on Pinterest.
Because I enjoy so many of the art mediums I have developed different skills over the years.
I received my Associates in Graphic Design from BYU Idaho. I have come to love the digital aspect of art as I developed my Graphic Design skills designing for ScrapGirls.com for 5 years as one of their main designers. I have continued this love as I have designed my own family history books, projects and helping with the layout and design of the Millennial Instructor Magazine.
I received my bachelors of Art Education in 2000, where I then taught art to K-12 year students at the local public school in Wyoming and Las Vegas. Later I also taught private art lessons to children out of my home here in Utah.
Currently I have been going back to my original beginnings of drawing, and have been working on building up my illustration portfolio, as I have found a love in the simple art media of watercolor, ink, gouache and colored pencils.
I often find that all these loves tend to be used at various times depending on the project, and hope that you might find a use for my various styles and skills.
